Rangers 6, Braves 2

Josh Hamilton was 4-for-5, including a long home run, and drove in three runs to lead Texas to a 6-2 win over Atlanta Friday at Turner Field.

Nelson Cruz, broke out of his 0-for-18 slump by going 2-for-5 with three RBIs, as the Rangers snapped a five-game losing streak.

Hamilton’s two-run homer, his fifth, highlighted a four-run fifth-inning rally that gave the Rangers the lead for good.

Texas starter Colby Lewis (6-7) bounced back from two shaky starts, allowing seven hits and two runs in 6 2/3 innings with 10 strikeouts - one shy of his career high set May 5 against Seattle. Lewis is now 4-2 in interleague games.

The losing pitcher was Randall Delgado, who was making his major-league debut after being recalled from Double-A Mississippi as a fill-in for injured Tommy Hanson. Delgado (0-1) allowed four runs in four innings.

Atlanta got its runs on a pair of solo homers from Brian McCann and Freddie Freeman.
