Braves 9, Rockies 1

Jair Jurrjens became the first National League pitcher to win 12 games as the host Atlanta Braves rolled past the Colorado Rockies 9-1 on Wednesday night.

Jurrjens (12-3) allowed one run on five hits in six innings before turning the game over to the bullpen after throwing 109 pitches. Jurrjens, selected to play in Tuesday's All-Star Game, won his fourth straight game. He has a 1.02 ERA during that span.

Scott Linebrink, George Sherrill and Scott Proctor each pitched a scoreless inning of relief as the Braves won their third straight game - all against the Rockies.

Atlanta touched starter Aaron Cook (0-4) for seven runs and 10 hits in five innings.

The Braves struck for three runs in the first, including an RBI double by Brian McCann. Atlanta added two more in the third on a home run by Chipper Jones, who improved his lifetime average against Cook to .346.

Dan Uggla tacked on a two-run homer off reliever Rafael Betancourt in the eighth.
