Phillies 6, Mets 4
Domonic Brown snapped a tie by plating Carlos Ruiz with a single in the ninth inning as the Philadelphia Phillies rallied to a 6-4 road victory over the New York Mets on Friday.
Jimmy Rollins had a pair of hits and drove in three and Roy Oswalt recorded his first RBI of the season for National League-leading Philadelphia, which has won six of its last eight games.
With the game tied at 3-3, Brown deposited Francisco Rodriguez's offering toward first baseman Daniel Murphy, who was unable to come up with the ball. Ruiz scored on the play and Rollins then plated pinch-runner Michael Martinez with a sacrifice fly.
Entering the contest having never surrendered a run to the Phillies, Rodriguez (1-1) permitted three runs on five hits in two-thirds of an inning.
Antonio Bastardo (3-0) worked a scoreless eighth inning to pick up the win, while Ryan Madson recorded the final three outs to secure his 10th save of the season.
Justin Turner collected his first four-hit game of his career, Carlos Beltran and Ronny Paulino had RBI singles and Jose Reyes scored three times for New York.
