Mets 7, Nationals 3
David Wright hit a three-run homer and Angel Pagan singled in a pair to lead the visiting New York Mets to a 7-3 victory over the Washington Nationals on Friday.
Lucas Duda and Nick Evans each hit solo homers for the Mets, who have won three straight and six of seven.
The Nationals have dropped three in a row and nine of 10.
New York had no trouble with Ross Detwiler (2-5), as Jose Reyes and Justin Turner led off the game with back-to-back singles. Duda struck out but Wright followed and sent his 12th homer deep to left-center field.
Evans hit his third off Detwiler in the second and Pagan made it 6-1 with his single in the third.
That was plenty of support for R.A. Dickey (7-11), who scattered three runs and nine hits over six innings in his eighth straight quality start.
Duda hit his eighth homer in off Collin Balester in the seventh inning. The blast down the right field line made it into the second deck and gave the rookie slugger nine RBIs in the last 10 games.
