Phillies 6, Pirates 5 (10)

Raul Ibanez homered twice and hit a walk-off RBI double in the 10th inning as the Philadelphia Phillies completed a three-game sweep of the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates with a 6-5 victory on Sunday.

Ibanez’ second homer – a two-run shot off Jose Veras in the eighth – tied the game at 5.

Hunter Pence, who was acquired from Houston on Friday, sparked the winning rally with a one-out double to left field off Tony Watson (0-2). Ibanez capped his huge day by ripping a 1-0 fastball down the right field line.

Antonio Bastardo (4-0) threw a perfect 10th to earn the win.

Lyle Overbay homered and Xavier Paul had two RBIs for the Pirates, who acquired outfielder Ryan Ludwick from San Diego at the trade deadline. Pittsburgh, hoping to shore up its struggling offense, also acquired Derrek Lee from Baltimore late Saturday night.
