Gerardo Parra's two-run triple highlighted a three-run seventh inning as the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks pulled away for a 7-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday.
Arizona's Joe Saunders (4-7) allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings, while Luke Hochevar (4-8) gave up five runs on eight hits and struck out six in seven innings.
Wily Mo Pena hit a solo homer in the fifth for the Diamondbacks, who took the lead for good 2-1 an inning later on an RBI double by Justin Upton.
Chris Young's two-run homer in the eighth accounted for the final runs.
Alex Gordon drove in both runs for the Royals on a first-inning home run and a triple in the seventh.
