Diamondbacks 8, Twins 7
Stephen Drew homered and Ryan Roberts drove in three runs during a five-run rally in the seventh that lifted the Arizona Diamondbacks to an 8-7 victory over the visiting Minnesota Twins on Friday.
Xavier Nady added an RBI and scored a pair of runs for the Diamondbacks, who have won four straight.
Ian Kennedy (5-1) was charged with four runs and six hits in 7 2/3 innings to earn the win. The 26-year old righthander has not lost since April 13, going 4-0 with a 1.99 ERA over his last seven outings.
The Twins held a 2-1 lead going into the seventh, when the Diamondbacks began to get to Brian Duensing (2-4). Drew led off with a solo blast and Nady singled in a run to put Arizona on top, 3-2.
Minnesota went to lefthander Glen Perkins, who got two outs but made a mistake with a 1-2 pitch that Roberts blasted into the gap in left-center, clearing the bases.
The Twins came up just short in the ninth, pushing three runs across before leaving the bases loaded. They lost for the first time since franchise legend Harmon Killebrew passed away on Tuesday.
Joe Paterson recorded the final two outs with the bases loaded to earn his first save.
