Dodgers 15, Twins 0
Matt Kemp and Trent Oeltjen homered and had four hits apiece as the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers recorded their most lopsided shutout in 35 years with a 15-0 rout of the host Minnesota Twins on Monday.
Los Angeles, which tallied season highs in runs and hits with 24, had 10 players drove in at least one run for the first time since 2002.
Tony Gwynn Jr. recorded his first career four-hit game, and Oeltjen came within a double of hitting for the cycle as the Dodgers' starting outfielders went 12-for-15 with five RBIs.
Chad Billingsley (7-6) threw six scoreless innings as the Dodgers recorded their fifth shutout of the season and sent Minnesota to its sixth straight loss.
Twins starter Nick Blackburn (6-6) fell to 0-3 in interleague play after giving up eight runs – seven earned – on 12 hits over 4 1/3 innings.
The win was the most lopsided shutout by Los Angeles since Sept. 24, 1975, when the Dodgers beat San Diego 14-0.
