Twins 1, Dodgers 0

Ben Revere tripled and scored to start the game and the Minnesota Twins made the run stand up in a 1-0 win over the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.

Twins starter Scott Baker (6-5) gave up six hits with one walk while striking out nine over 7 1/3 innings on a season-high 119 pitches. He has gone six-plus innings in 13 of his 16 starts.

Matt Capps worked a scoreless ninth inning for his 13th save and second in as many games.

After Revere led off the bottom of the first with his first major league triple, he scored on Tsuyoshi Nishioka’s groundout off Dodgers starter Rubby De La Rosa (3-3), who allowed one run on six hits over seven innings.

After losing 15-0 in the series opener, the Twins outscored the Dodgers 7-4 to win the final two games. Both teams have an off day Thursday.
