Scott Sizemore had a three-run double and Conor Jackson collected three hits as the Oakland Athletics rolled past the visiting Minnesota Twins 8-3 on Saturday night.
Cliff Pennington extended his hitting streak to 14 games and scored twice for Oakland, which has scored at least five runs in seven straight games and nine of 10.
Jemile Weeks snapped a 2-2 tie in the second inning with an RBI triple before the Athletics broke open the contest with a four-run fifth.
Ryan Sweeney, who entered the game after David DeJesus left with a hand injury, plated a run with a single. With the bases loaded later in the inning, Sizemore cleared them with a double.
Guillermo Moscoso (4-5) posted his second win since May 29, yielding two runs over 6 1/3 innings in his first career outing against Minnesota.
Nick Blackburn (7-8) had his second straight bad outing for Minnesota as he allowed seven runs, 10 hits and five walks in 4 1/3 innings. The righthander fell to 1-6 lifetime against Oakland and has won only one of his last eight starts.
