Aramis Ramirez hit a two-run homer for the Cubs, who had their season-high three-game winning streak snapped.

Chris Narveson (7-6) scattered eight hits in five innings, and John Axford pitched a perfect ninth to record his 28th save, and match a club record with his 25th straight.

Milwaukee improved to 34-14 at home, the second-best record in the majors (Philadelphia 38-16).

Braun and Chicago's Starlin Castro had three hits apiece.
