Astros 2, Brewers 1
Jason Bourgeois singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the host Houston Astros defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 2-1 on Saturday.
Bourgeois had three hits and scored the first run for the Astros, who snapped a three-game slide.
After a scoreless eight innings from Houston starter Wandy Rodriguez, Brandon Lyon (3-1) came on in the ninth and gave up a one-out homer to Prince Fielder.
Milwaukee's Kameron Loe (2-2) walked two men with two outs before Bourgeois’ single.
Rodriguez allowed seven hits, struck out six and did not walk a batter. The lefthander continued a trend of following a rough outing with an outstanding effort. He has yielded a total of two runs in his second, fourth and sixth starts, and surrendered 16 in the other three.
Randy Wolf nearly matched Rodriguez - he allowed one run and four hits in seven innings.
