Astros 11, Rockies 2
Carlos Lee drove in four runs for the second straight game as the Houston Astros sent the visiting Colorado Rockies to their ninth straight loss, 11-2 on Friday.
Drew Pomeranz (1-1) was pummeled early in his first major league road start, giving up five runs before he recorded his first out. Lee keyed Houston's early outburst with a two-run double. J.D. Martinez doubled home another run in the second to make it 6-1, and Lee had RBIs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Brett Myers (7-13) won his fourth consecutive game, giving up one run on four hits in six innings. He finished with six strikeouts and a walk.
Pomeranz, who came to Colorado from the Cleveland organization in the Ubaldo Jimenez trade, was lifted after two innings and saw his career ERA rise from 1.69 to 5.68.
Former Rockie Clint Barmes hit a solo home run in the sixth for Houston, which scored in six of the first seven innings.
The Rockies have allowed 68 runs during their losing streak.
