Rockies 19, Astros 3

Kevin Millwood pitched seven solid innings and added a two-run homer in the sixth inning as Colorado earned a four-game series split in Houston with a lopsided 19-3 victory on Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless first inning, the Rockies plated at least one run in each of the next seven frames. Thomas Field led the charge early with RBI singles in the second, third and fourth innings, while Kevin Kouzmanoff did the heavy lifting late with two-run home runs in both the seventh and eighth.

Kouzmanoff and Chris Iannetta, who tacked on a three-run homer in the eighth to make it 19-1, each finished the day with five runs batted in. The Rockies totaled 25 hits, with everyone in the starting lineup getting at least one, and six players picking up three or more.

In addition to hitting the fourth homer of his 15-year career and his second this month, Millwood (4-3) turned in his best start of the season, allowing just one unearned run and three hits. He finished with six strikeouts and one walk, exiting after getting through the seventh inning on just six pitches.

Lucas Harrell (0-2) lasted just three innings for Houston, giving up five runs (three earned) on seven hits. Three Astros relievers allowed at least four runs each.
