Pirates 3, Rockies 0
Andrew McCutchen and Garrett Jones homered, and Kevin Correia pitched 6 2/3 shutout innings to help the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 3-0 victory over the host Colorado Rockies on Friday.
McCutchen homered in the third, Jones connected in the sixth and Ronny Cedeno added a run-scoring triple in the seventh.
Correia (4-2) allowed three hits, one walk and struck out four. He was removed after allowing Seth Smith’s two-out single in the seventh.
Jose Veras got the final out in the seventh, Chris Resop struck out the side and allowed a hit in the eighth and Joel Hanrahan gave up a bunt single to Carlos Gonzalez in the ninth before retiring the side for his eighth save in as many opportunities.
Gonzalez' hit snapped an 0-for-25 slide.
It was the first time Colorado was shut out this season.
Jhoulys Chacin (3-2) gave up three runs on six hits, walked none and struck out eight.
