Nationals 6, Reds 4

Cleanup hitter Michael Morse continued his surge with a homer, a double and two RBIs as the host Nationals beat the Reds 6-4 on Tuesday night.

Morse is 23 for 54 (.426) in his last 14 games, with four homers and 13 RBIs.

Chien-Ming Wang (2-2) won his second straight game after two rough starts upon his return from shoulder surgery, which kept him out of baseball for two years.

Drew Storen earned his 32nd save in 36 chances.

Cincinnati’s Mike Leake (10-8) gave up five earned runs over six innings. The Reds did not homer after hitting 15 home runs in seven games during their recent homestand. They’ve dropped 12 of their last 17 on the road.

The Nationals have won five of six at home following a 1-7 stretch.
