Dodgers 9, Reds 6

Matt Kemp hit his 16th homer and pitcher Chad Billingsley helped his own cause with a solo homer and three RBIs as the Los Angeles Dodgers worked past the host Cincinnati Reds, 9-6, on Sunday.

Rod Barajas added a two-run double and Andre Ethier drove in a run and scored a pair for the Dodgers, who have scored nine or more runs in back-to-back games for the first time this season.

The Reds fell back to .500 at 30-30 and have won only one of their last six series.

Kemp, who homered twice and drove in six on Saturday, picked up right where he left off in the top of the first, sending a two-run shot into the stands in left off Travis Wood (4-4) to give Los Angeles a quick 3-0 lead.

Billingsley (5-4) struggled a bit on the mound, allowing four runs and eight hits in five innings, but had no such problems at the plate. He clubbed his second career homer in the second inning, drew a bases-loaded walk in the third and chased Wood from the game with an RBI double in the fifth.
