Reds 6, Dodgers 4

Chris Heisey hit a solo home run and Joey Votto blasted a three-run shot to lead the visiting Cincinnati Reds to a 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday.

Bronson Arroyo (5-6) gave up four runs on six hits over 7 2/3 innings for the Reds, who broke open a tie game with Votto’s ninth home run in the seventh inning.

Francisco Cordero struck out the side after walking Matt Kemp in the ninth inning for his 13th save. With 303 career saves, Cordero moved into a tie for 20th all-time with Doug Jones.

The Dodgers’ Hiroki Kuroda (5-8) allowed four runs – two earned – on seven hits while striking out six over 6 1/3 innings.

Heisey’s home run in the sixth inning snapped the Reds’ homerless streak at a season-high five games.
