Indians 4, White Sox 3 (1st)
Asdrubal Cabrera continued his hot hitting with a tie-breaking home run and the Cleveland Indians defeated the visiting Chicago White Sox 4-3 on Tuesday in the opener of a doubleheader.
Travis Hafner and Kosuke Fukudome also homered for the Indians, who handed the White Sox their eight loss in nine games.
Cabrera's home run broke a 2-2 tie in the fourth inning. He is 8-for-13 in his last three games and has homered in back-to-back contests.
Fausto Carmona (7-15) won for the first time in five starts and recorded his first victory since Aug. 17. Chris Perez pitched the ninth for his 35th save of the season.
Gavin Floyd (12-12) fell to 0-2 in his last four starts and hasn't won since Aug. 29.
Adam Dunn had an RBI double for the White Sox. Alejandro De Aza drove in two runs with a single and a groundout.
