Nick Markakis drove in all three runs, including an RBI single in the 10th, as visiting Baltimore avoided a three-game sweep.

Markakis also had a two-run single in the eighth to erase a 1-0 deficit and help the Orioles finish 6-4 on their 10-game road trip.

Pedro Strop (2-1) went two innings for the win despite giving up a tying homer to Howie Kendrick in the eighth. Closer Jim Johnson worked around a one-out double for his seventh save in as many chances.

The Angels wasted another strong start by Dan Haren and had their five-game home winning streak against the Orioles snapped.

LaTroy Hawkins (0-1) surrendered Markakis' winning hit after closer Jordan Walden had pitched a scoreless ninth.

Haren pitched seven scoreless innings before surrendering one-out singles to Matt Wieters and Robert Andino in the eighth. Endy Chavez greeted reliever Scott Downs with a single to load the bases before Markakis singled to left to drive in the tying and go-ahead runs.

Kendrick answered in the bottom of inning with a solo blast off Strop, his fourth RBI of the series despite sitting out Saturday's game.

Taiwanese left-hander Wei-Yin Chen turned in a strong outing for Baltimore, giving up one run on five hits in 6 1/3 innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Angels 1B Albert Pujols went 0-for-4 and has gone homerless in his first 65 at-bats with the Angels ... Haren had his highest strikeout total since fanning 10 against the Cleveland Indians on July 25, 2011. He is winless in his first four starts for the first time since 2006 ... Markakis ended an eight-game RBI drought ... Teammate Nolan Reimold sat out for the third time in four games with a neck issue.
