Nate McLouth ripped a two-run triple in the fourth inning as visiting Baltimore erased an early five-run deficit to take two of three from Detroit.

Chris Davis belted his 20th homer by going deep for the second straight game and J.J. Hardy added a two-run double for the Orioles, who have won nine of 13 overall. Baltimore has emerged victorious in 11 of its last 15 on the road and secured its fourth straight series away from home.

After Jhonny Peralta's three-run homer highlighted the Tigers' five-run first inning, the Orioles answered with a four-run second - capped by Hardy's double to left field.

McLouth gave Baltimore a 6-5 lead in the fourth inning when his triple to right-center field plated Nick Markakis and Hardy. Adam Jones promptly sent McLouth home for an insurance run with a single.

Wei-Yin Chen (12-7) settled down after a 41-pitch first inning to record his fourth win in five starts. Chen exited after five frames, but three relievers scattered two hits over three scoreless frames before Jim Johnson worked the ninth for his 37th save.

After recording quality starts in seven straight appearances, Doug Fister (7-8) allowed seven earned runs - matching his total from the previous five starts combined. Fister departed after 3 2/3 innings to take the loss.

Omar Infante homered and Jeff Baker added an RBI double for the Tigers, who fell for the second time at home after winning 17 of its previous 21.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Sunday's contest marked the third time in 18 games the Orioles have overcome a five-run deficit to win. ... Baltimore evened its season series with Detroit at three wins apiece. ...
