Joe Mauer clubbed a three-run homer to cap a four-run ninth inning, lifting visiting Minnesota to its third consecutive win over Boston.
Mauer drilled an opposite-field homer off Red Sox closer Alfredo Aceves just over the wall in left field to give the Twins their seventh win in nine games.
Ben Revere had three hits to stretch his hitting streak to a career-high 18 games and Jamey Carroll added an RBI single in the ninth for Minnesota.
Alex Burnett (4-3) pitched one-third of an inning for the win and Jared Burton worked a perfect ninth for his fifth save as the Twins send the Red Sox to their fourth straight loss.
Boston's Pedro Ciriaco had given his team a 3-2 lead in the eighth with his first career homer, a pinch-hit blast off Glen Perkins. Cody Ross added an RBI single in the inning to give Aceves a two-run cushion.
Aceves (2-7) was charged with four runs on four hits in 1 2/3 innings. He entered in the eighth after Andrew Miller loaded the bases with no outs and gave up Justin Morneau's tying sacrifice fly.
Minnesota refused to go quietly in the ninth. Alexi Casilla doubled with one out and scored on Carroll's bloop single. Revere kept the inning live with his third hit before Mauer unloaded to give Minnesota three straight wins at Fenway Park for the first time since winning five straight in the 1993-94 seasons.
Twins rookie Cole De Vries allowed only two runs on four hits in a career high-tying seven innings. Boston's Clay Buchholz also went seven, giving up one run on seven hits.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Red Sox SS Mike Avilis' homer was his 11th and gave him 52 RBIs, career highs in both categories. ... Morneau is 8-for-12 with three RBIs in the series. ... Red Sox RHP Josh Beckett (back), who will miss Sunday's scheduled start, is scheduled to thrown a bullpen session Monday and return to the rotation Wednesday.
