Colby Rasmus collected a career-high five hits - including a tiebreaking two-run homer in the fifth inning - and David Cooper also belted a two-run shot in the frame as visiting Toronto handed Chicago just its second loss in 12 games.
After Brett Lawrie doubled to lead off the fifth, Rasmus deposited an offering from Philip Humber (2-3) over the wall in right field. Rasmus' fifth hit of the evening resulted in an RBI double in the eighth for the Blue Jays, who have won five of their last seven overall. Toronto also snapped a five-game road skid.
Staked to a large lead, Ricky Romero (7-1) improved to 3-0 lifetime against the White Sox despite allowing five runs in seven innings.
Cooper drove in three runs, Lawrie had three hits and Jose Bautista added two RBIs for Toronto.
A.J. Pierzynski launched a two-run homer, Adam Dunn also went deep and Dayan Viciedo had an RBI double for Chicago.
Humber permitted five runs on seven hits and walked four in five innings to take the loss.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Chicago 2B Gordon Beckham saw his 10-game hitting streak come to an end after an 0-for-3 performance. ... White Sox 1B Paul Konerko was originally slated to play, but was removed from the starting lineup prior to the start of the contest. Konerko, who had a chip in his left wrist flushed out, is expected to play on Wednesday. Brent Lillibridge played in his place and went 0-for-4. ... White Sox OF Alejandro De Aza returned from an illness and went 2-for-5.
