Braves 7, Rockies 2

Freddie Freeman hit a three-run home run and added his first major-league triple, and Brandon Beachy pitched 6 1/3 solid innings to help Atlanta finish a three-game sweep at Coors Field.

The Braves roughed up Rockies starter Juan Nicasio (2-1) for six runs on eight hits over five innings to hand him his first loss of the season.

Freeman's three-run shot in the third staked Beachy to an early lead. Dan Uggla added an RBI single in the sixth and a solo homer in the eighth for the Braves, who have won four of five.

Beachy (3-1) held the Rockies scoreless through six innings before giving up a pair of runs in the seventh. He allowed four hits, struck out five and walked three.

Cristhian Martinez threw 2 2/3 perfect innings of relief for Atlanta for his first save.
