Tim Hudson tossed seven scoreless innings and host Atlanta scored on a fluke run to post back-to-back 1-0 wins for the first time in 41 years.

Hudson (14-5) scattered six hits to win for the eighth time in nine decisions and improve to 5-0 lifetime against the Rockies at Turner Field.

The Braves scored the only run in the second inning when Rockies starter Jhoulys Chacin completely missed a toss back from catcher Wilin Rosario, allowing Juan Francisco to alertly dash home from third base.

Peter Moylan and Eric O'Flaherty combined to pitch a scoreless eighth before closer Craig Kimbrel notched his 34th save to give Atlanta consecutive 1-0 victories for the first time since July 21-22, 1971, against the San Diego Padres.

Martin Prado and Jason Heyward had two hits apiece for the Braves, who took three of four in the series and extended their National League wild-card lead to 3 1/2 games over idle St. Louis.

Chacin (2-5) lasted only 3 1/3 innings, allowing the one unearned run on seven hits despite loading the bases in the third and fourth innings.

Charlie Blackmon went 4-for-4 for the Rockies, who were held to a combined one run in the three series losses.
