: Rookie left-hander Patrick Corbin pitched seven solid innings and rookie A.J. Pollock hit his first career homer as host Arizona won its ninth straight game against San Francisco.

Paul Goldschmidt hit a two-run homer among his three hits for the Diamondbacks, who halted a five-game losing streak and won for only the second time in nine games.

Corbin (2-1) allowed one run, three hits and struck out four in his first career start at home. He picked off Emmanuel Burriss to end the second inning and retired the side in order in the third, fourth and fifth.

The Giants’ Madison Bumgarner (5-2) had won five straight games since losing to Arizona in his first start of the season April 7. Bumgarner allowed five runs (four earned) and seven hits in six innings Friday after yielding six runs during his winning streak.

Melky Cabrera’s homer in the first inning gave the Giants a 1-0 lead.

Arizona tied it in the third inning on Willie Bloomquist’s RBI single and after Miguel Montero put the Diamondbacks in front 2-1 in the fifth with a two-out double, Goldschmidt followed with his homer to left.

Pollock’s solo blast came in the sixth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Francisco shortstop Brandon Crawford committed his seventh error, the Giants’ major league-leading 34th. … The Giants fell to 3-7 in May and have scored just 23 runs in that span. ... Arizona has won only one of five home series – against San Francisco to open the season – and is 7-10 at Chase Field.
