Phillies 7, Rockies 4 (2nd game)

Phillies 7, Rockies 4: Ty Wigginton homered and host Philadelphia rallied from an early deficit to complete a sweep of the doubleheader and the three-game series.

The Phillies stand six games behind St. Louis for the second wild card spot in the National League after winning for the 12th time in their last 16 games. Colorado committed five errors and lost its fifth straight.

Philadelphia cut into the lead in the fourth on Ryan Howard’s two-run double off Josh Roenicke (4-2). Howard, who was thrown out trying to stretch the single into a double, has 31 RBIs in 30 home games this season.

The Phillies tied the game 4-4 in the sixth on Wigginton’s leadoff homer off Roenicke and moved ahead later in the inning when Kevin Frandsen’s infield single scored Michael Martinez.
