Orioles 4, White Sox 0

Scott Feldman tossed his first career shutout while Danny Valencia homered and drove in two runs as host Baltimore beat Chicago for the second straight night.

Chris Davis went 3-for-4 with his major league-leading 48th homer and Matt Wieters also hit a solo blast to help the Orioles pull within two games of Tampa Bay for the second wild card in the American League.

Feldman (12-10) scattered five singles and struck out three en route to his second career complete game as he won for the third time in four starts. He threw 74-of-106 pitches for strikes in sending the skidding White Sox to their eighth consecutive defeat.

Valencia supplied Feldman with the only run he would need in the third inning with a solo homer off John Danks. Valencia also singled in a run in the fifth before Davis and Wieters hit back-to-back shots in the sixth to end Danks' night.

Danks (4-12) lost his second straight start, giving up four runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings. Jeff Keppinger had two hits for Chicago but was thrown out at the plate by center fielder Adam Jones in the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wieters became the first player in franchise history to reach 20 homers in three consecutive seasons as a catcher. One of his 21 blasts this season came at DH. ... Danks gave up at least three homers for the fourth time this season, but his four strikeouts gave him 830 for his career - moving him past Gavin Floyd (828) for 16th place on the franchise list. ... Valencia's third-inning blast extended Baltimore's streak of 15 consecutive runs coming via the long ball, but he ended the streak with his fifth-inning single.
