Paul Goldschmidt drove in his National League-leading 70th and 71st runs while rookie Tyler Skaggs yielded three hits in eight innings as host Arizona made quick work of Colorado.
A.J. Pollock tripled, doubled and scored three times for the Diamondbacks, who played a 5-hour, 46-minute game Thursday in a 5-4 victory in 15 innings over the Mets that took more than twice as long as Friday's contest (2:40). Aaron Hill had two hits, including a two-run single in the seventh inning to make it 5-0.
Skaggs (2-1), who was recalled from Triple-A Reno earlier Friday, walked one and struck out five as Arizona starters improved to 2-11 in their last 26 outings. J.J. Putz pitched a perfect ninth inning to finish the Diamondbacks' fifth shutout of the season.
Jorge De La Rosa (8-5), who had won six of his last seven decisions, yielded three runs, seven hits and struck out five in 5 1/3 innings while falling to 2-2 against Arizona this season.
Pollock led off the first inning with a triple into the right-center gap and scored on De La Rosa's wild pitch. Goldschmidt drove home Pollock in the third with a two-out single to center and his line-drive double just over the head of center fielder Tyler Colvin knocked in Hill, who had doubled, in the sixth.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Rockies LF Carlos Gonzalez missed the game with a back injury. Gonzalez, who has 23 homers and 62 RBIs, took batting practice prior to the game, but was held out of the lineup. ... Along with Skaggs, Arizona recalled RHP Charles Brewer from Reno. To make room on the roster, RHP Chaz Roe and OF Tony Campana were returned to Reno. Roe earned his first major-league victory Thursday while Campana went 3-for-6. ... Colorado LF Corey Dickerson made a circus catch to end the sixth inning when he stumbled and fell on the warning track, but caught Martin Prado's fly ball while lying on his side.
