Dayan Viciedo belted a three-run homer and Chris Sale tossed seven solid innings as visiting Chicago defeated Minnesota for the second straight day.
Alejandro De Aza homered and scored three times and Adam Dunn continued his solid series with three hits, including an RBI double in the eighth inning. Avisail Garcia had an RBI double during a four-run fourth inning for the White Sox, who posted just the fifth win in 15 outings against their American League Central rival.
After Garcia's RBI double trimmed the Twins' lead to 3-2, Viciedo deposited a 1-1 slider from Andrew Albers (2-1) over the wall in left field for his 10th homer - and first since July 24.
Dunn gave Chicago a 6-3 lead in the eighth inning after his routine fly ball was lost in the lights by left fielder Josh Willingham, allowing De Aza to score.
Sale (9-11) rebounded after yielding a two-run double to Joe Mauer and an RBI double to Willingham in the third inning to win his third straight contest. The 24-year-old ace improved to 4-1 in his career against Minnesota after allowing three runs on nine hits while striking out eight. Ryan Doumit belted a two-run homer off Nate Jones in the eighth, but De Aza countered with a two-run shot of his own in the ninth and Addison Reed secured his 30th save.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Viciedo, who had a two-run single on Friday, has recorded five RBIs since returning to the lineup after being sidelined with a sore left thumb. ... After tossing 17 1/3 scoreless innings in his first start, Albers saw that streak come to an end in the first when De Aza scored on Konerko's groundout. The 27-year-old Saskatchewan native permitted five runs on eight hits in seven innings. ... Dunn is 6-for-11 with a homer, three runs scored and two RBIs in the series.
