Angels 4, Cubs 3

Angels 4, Cubs 3: Albert Pujols belted a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to erase a deficit and end host Los Angeles' four-game losing streak.

The homer made a winner of Robert Coello (2-1), who tossed a scoreless top of the frame. Ernesto Frieri worked the ninth for his 13th save in 14 chances and Howie Kendrick went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Los Angeles, which was coming off a four-game sweep at the hands of visiting Houston.

Nate Schierholtz gave Chicago the lead with an RBI single in the first inning, but Pujols answered in the bottom half with a sacrifice fly.
