Justin Smoak hit a two-run homer and Joe Saunders pitched seven strong innings as visiting Seattle took two out of three from Cincinnati.
Nick Franklin also went deep as the Mariners improved to 10-2 all-time against the Reds and rebounded from a 13-4 loss on Saturday.
Saunders (7-8) gave up one run and six hits and didn't issue a walk. Tom Wilhelmsen retired the side in the ninth on five pitches for his 18th save in 23 opportunities as Seattle concluded a 4-2 road trip.
Franklin hit a first-inning homer to right-center field off Bronson Arroyo (7-7), who allowed three runs and five hits in six innings. Smoak smacked an opposite-field blast to left in the third to give the Mariners a 3-0 lead. It was the 235th homer allowed by Arroyo with the Reds, setting a franchise record.
Cincinnati got on the board in the seventh on consecutive one-out doubles by Todd Frazier and Chris Heisey. Saunders retired the next two hitters on grounders and Charlie Furbush worked a perfect eighth.
