Phillies 16, Dodgers 1

Delmon Young collected three hits and a career-high six RBIs as visiting Philadelphia put up a season-high run total to snap Los Angeles' six-game winning streak.

John Lannan (1-2) was the beneficiary of the offensive eruption, allowing one run on five hits in seven innings to earn his first victory since Sept. 26. He contributed to the 21-hit attack by going 3-for-4 with an RBI single.

Michael Young went 4-for-6 with a solo homer and two RBIs and John Mayberry Jr. added a two-run blast as the Phillies amassed their most runs since a 16-1 victory over the New York Mets on Sept. 20 and evened the series at one game apiece.

Dodgers left-hander Chris Capuano (2-5) lasted only 3 2/3 innings as he was battered for seven runs - five earned - on 10 hits. Pinch-hitter Scott Van Slyke delivered an RBI double in the sixth for Los Angeles, which used second baseman Skip Schumaker to pitch a scoreless ninth.

Delmon Young had an RBI single in the first inning and a two-run double in the second as Philadelphia jumped to a 6-0 lead. Mayberry's homer capped a four-run sixth inning and pushed the lead to 12-0.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Delmon Young is 9-for-14 with a homer and eight RBIs in his last three games, a stretch that included seven consecutive hits. ... Phillies 1B Ryan Howard, in the midst of an 0-for-16 slump, was held out of Friday's game and also will sit on Saturday to "clear his head," manager Charlie Manuel said. ...
