Juan Uribe tied a career high with seven RBIs and came within a single of hitting for the cycle as visiting Los Angeles routed San Francisco in the opener of the three-game series.

Uribe hit a two-run double in the second inning and added a three-run triple during the Dodgers’ six-run third inning before launching a two-run homer in the seventh. Hyun-Jin Ryu (7-3) allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings in his eighth consecutive quality start for Los Angeles, which has won 11 of its last 13 games.

Giants starter Matt Cain (5-5) yielded eight runs on six hits and four walks over 2 1/3 innings in his shortest outing of the season. San Francisco lost for the 12th time in its last 14 games and fell a season-high seven games below .500.

The Dodgers led 2-0 before erupting for six runs on five hits in the third inning. Hanley Ramirez, who extended his hitting streak to 16 games by going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, sparked the rally with an RBI single after Yasiel Puig hit a leadoff double and Adrian Gonzalez walked.

Shortstop Brandon Crawford snapped an 0-for-23 slump with a ninth-inning single for the Giants, who have scored two runs or fewer in 11 of their last 14 games. Third baseman Pablo Sandoval went 1-for-4, giving him two hits in his last 34 at-bats.
