Brewers 4, Nationals 0

Brewers 4, Nationals 0: Juan Francisco doubled in a pair of runs to snap a scoreless tie in the eighth inning as visiting Milwaukee got to the Washington bullpen after Stephen Strasburg exited.

Brewers starter Wily Peralta threw 5 1/3 scoreless innings and four relievers combined to finish the shutout as Milwaukee snapped a six-game slide.

Strasburg yielded just three singles and struck out eight in seven scoreless innings. Drew Storen (2-2) took over in the eighth and gave up a single and a walk before Francisco ripped a double to right-center field to plate two runs.

Martin Maldonado and Jeff Bianchi added RBIs to cap the four-run rally against Storen. Jim Henderson (3-2) got the win by throwing a scoreless seventh.

Peralta wiggled out of a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the first by getting Ian Desmond to ground to second. Reliever Mike Gonzalez stranded a pair of runners in the eighth and Francisco Rodriguez did the same in the ninth as the Brewers recorded their fourth shutout in a span of 16 games.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said Tuesday it is unlikely that LF Ryan Braun (thumb) will return before the All-Star break. ... Strasburg lowered his ERA at home to 1.17 in eight starts.
