Rangers 5, Brewers 4

Ian Kinsler highlighted a three-run seventh inning with a two-run single as host Texas rallied to earn a split of the two-game interleague series.

Elvis Andrus hit a pair of RBI singles and Adrian Beltre drove in a run for the first-place Rangers, who increased their lead over Oakland in the American League West to two games.

Texas watched a 2-1 lead disappear in the fourth inning as Juan Francisco belted his second homer of the night, a three-run shot off Matt Garza. After the Rangers loaded the bases on walks in the seventh, Andrus delivered a one-out RBI single against John Axford (5-6) and Kinsler followed with a two-run base hit off Burke Badenhop.

Jason Frasor (4-2) notched the win after tossing a scoreless seventh inning. Tanner Scheppers struck out two in a perfect eighth and Joe Nathan worked a flawless ninth for his 36th save.

Carlos Gomez and Scooter Gennett recorded two hits apiece for the Brewers, who completed a 5-4 road trip.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Francisco's two-homer performance was the second of his career. He also went deep twice on April 16 against Kansas City. ... Milwaukee starter Tyler Thornburg allowed two runs - one earned - and five hits in six innings, while Garza surrendered four runs and eight hits over 5 2/3 frames. ... Brewers SS Jean Segura extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a first-inning single, but Rangers CF Leonys Martin went 0-for-4, ending his seven-game run.
