Phillies 10, Astros 3

All-Star Chase Utley hit a three-run homer and Ryan Howard recorded two RBIs as host Philadelphia topped Houston for the second straight night.

Ben Revere added four hits and scored two runs while Jimmy Rollins singled, doubled and scored twice in support of David Buchanan (6-5). The rookie right-hander worked 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs and nine hits without a walk in his first major-league start since July 10.

Houston's Brad Peacock (3-8), who like Buchanan was recalled from the minors to make Wednesday's start, was charged with eight runs, seven hits and four walks in five innings. All-Star Jose Altuve recorded two singles and an RBI for the Astros.

After allowing a run in the top of the first, the Phillies batted around in their half of the frame, with Howard delivering a two-run double and Buchanan later adding an RBI single to make it 5-1. Houston scored another run in the fourth, but Philadelphia quickly answered with Utley's blast to right field.

The seventh inning featured a similar story, as the Astros got within 8-3 before the Phillies promptly tacked on a run as Marlon Byrd's single plated Utley. Revere tripled and came home on a wild pitch in the eighth to cap the scoring.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Phillies pitchers struck out seven batters without issuing a walk. ... Altuve recorded his 45th stolen base of the season - the second-highest total in the majors behind Dee Gordon of the Los Angeles Dodgers (51). Altuve has been caught stealing only six times. ... Revere has gone 6-for-11 in the series to raise his batting average to .309.
