Phillies 6, Diamondbacks 0

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Phillies stayed hot on Sunday afternoon by beating the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-0 to complete a three-game sweep.

The win marked the Phillies' fifth straight victory, their longest winning streak since July 7-11, 2014, when they also won five in a row. The Diamondbacks (15-21) have lost four straight and seven of their last nine.

Philadelphia (16-23) received multi-hit performances from left fielder Ben Revere, first baseman Darin Ruf, third baseman Maikel Franco and shortstop Cesar Hernandez. Ruf and Franco each homered and scored a pair of runs, while Hernandez, Revere and catcher Cameron Rupp also drove in one run apiece.

Phillies right-hander Sean O'Sullivan (1-2) delivered his best start of the season, throwing six shutout innings to earn his first win. The 27-year-old scattered five hits and struck out four.

Relievers Luis Garcia, Ken Giles and Jeanmar Gomez each tossed a scoreless inning to close the door, as Giles lowered his ERA to 2.08 with his scoreless eighth.

Arizona right-hander Josh Collmenter's nightmarish May continued.

After allowing nine earned runs in just 1 1/3 innings during his last start, Collmenter (3-5) surrendered four earned runs in six innings of work against Philadelphia.

In three May starts, Collmenter has given up six home runs to go with an 11.30 ERA.

The Diamondbacks, who came into the game tied for the National League lead in hitting with the Miami Marlins, were shut out for the fourth time this season. Rookie third baseman Yasmany Tomas went 2-for-4 to boost his batting average to .291 and second baseman Aaron Hill also went 2-for-4, but Arizona left 10 men on base.

Rupp opened the game's scoring with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second inning, scoring Hernandez, who led off the frame with one of his two doubles.

Ruf added to the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning with his third home run of the season, a solo shot to left field. Prior to the homer, Ruf was 3 for his last 26.

Franco hit an RBI triple off the center-field wall in the bottom of the sixth inning and provided some insurance with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth.

Both the triple and homer were career firsts for the 22-year-old.

After Franco tripled, Hernandez scored him with his second double of the afternoon.

Revere, who went 3-for-4, tacked on Philadelphia's sixth and final run in the bottom of the eighth inning with an RBI single.

In the top of the third inning, the Diamondbacks had a run taken off the board when center fielder A.J. Pollock was initially called safe on a two-out run-scoring infield single to shortstop, but he was then ruled out after Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg challenged the play.

Sandberg is 5-for-11 on challenges this season.
