Marlins 6, Brewers 3

MILWAUKEE -- Justin Bour hit two home runs and Adam Conley no-hit the Milwaukee Brewers through 7 2/3 innings but the Miami Marlins had to sweat out a nervous ninth inning before putting away the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-3 Friday night at Miller Park.

Neither player got to finish the contest, though; Conley had thrown 116 pitches when he gave way to Jose Urena in the eighth. Bour, who finished with three hits and five RBIs, also left as part of a double-switch.

Urena misplayed a bouncer by Domingo Santana that put two on but got out of the inning.

He struck out Ryan Braun to open the ninth to bring up Jonathan Lucroy, who ended the no-hit bid with a bloop single to shallow right. Pinch-hitter Adam Presely followed with an RBI single to snap the shutout and got within three on a double by Ramon Flores and base hit from Colin Walsh.

The Marlins then turned to closer AJ Ramos. He didn't fare much better, loading the bases with two more walks before finally striking out Jonathan Villar to end it.

Bour's three-run homer in the first inning got things started for Florida, which added a run in the third on Bour's RBI double.

Conley cruised through his first three innings without allowing a runner but ran into trouble in the third when Domingo Santana reached on an error by Miguel Rojas. Conley loaded the bases with walks to Villar and Braun but escaped by striking out Lucroy and then getting Chris Carter to bounce into a double play.

Brewers starter Zach Davies got some defensive help of his own in the fifth. A leadoff single by Martin Prado and a walk by Christian Yelich put two on for Marcell Ozuna, who hit a ground ball right at third baseman Aaron Hill for a triple play to end the inning.

By then, Davies had thrown 92 pitches and gave way to the bullpen, having allowed four runs, six hits and three walks with five strikeouts.

NOTES: The Marlins placed INF Dee Gordon on the restricted list after his 80-game suspension for violating the MLB Joint Drug Agreement. Derek Dietrich started at second in place of Gordon and OF Cole Gillespie took the open spot on the roster after his contract was selected from Triple-A New Orleans. ... Milwaukee optioned RHP Taylor Jungmann to Triple-A Colorado Springs. In five starts this season, Jungmann is 0-4 with a 9.15 ERA. He is 0-4 with a 1.49 ERA in his last four starts, including Thursday when he allowed five earned runs in 3 2/3 innings in a 7-2 loss to the Cubs. ... The Brewers recalled RHP David Goforth from Colorado Springs to replace Jungmann on the roster but likely will make another move on Tuesday when Jungmann's next scheduled spot in the rotation comes up.
