The Chicago Bulls have found a backup to Rajon Rondo at point guard, acquiring former Philadelphia 76ers lottery pick Michael Carter-Williams from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Tony Snell.
It's definitely an interesting move for Chicago, giving up one of its best perimeter defenders for a player in Carter-Williams that's coming off some off-court troubles and simply hasn't lived up to expectations since being selected No. 11 overall back in 2013.
This past season with Milwaukee, Carter-Williams averaged 11.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 45 percent from the field.
Those numbers will likely take a hit with what's expected to be decreased playing time in Chicago. In addition to addin Rondo to the mix, the Bulls have both Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler on the roster. There's simply not going to be a lot of minutes to go around here.
As it relates to Snell, he'll act as nothing more than a rotational wing for Milwaukee. The veteran averaged 5.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in 20.3 minutes of action per game last season.
