For the first time since mid December, Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin is expected to take the court. It will likely come against the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday evening and couldn't possibly come at a better time for the Clippers.
Listed as probable for the game, Griffin's return is absolutely huge here. Los Angeles has lost two consecutive games since Chris Paul went down with a thumb injury that will cost him 4-to-6 weeks of action. Being able to get another All-Star back in the mix with Paul sidelined might be able to help the Clippers maintain their status as a top-four seed in the Western Conference.
From a fantasy perspective, this is also some big news. Prior to suffering a knee injury against the Washington Wizards on December 18, Griffin was averaging 21.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. He's among the best fantasy power forwards in the game.
With Joel Embiid slated to miss this game, look for Griffin to take advantage of an otherwise weak Philadlephia defense. He should make a DFS impact out of the gate, especially with Paul sidelined.
