Daily Fantasy Basketball Dime 3.28.14

Friday brings us to a massive 12-game slate of NBA games, which will bring countless options at each position.  There are plenty of super stars playing tonight, but you must find the value to fit them into your lineup.  We are here to help you weave your way through the riff-raff and build a daily fantasy basketball team worth remembering.  If you have not signed up for FanDuel.com yet be sure to go through the links provided on this page and receive a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit.

Point Guard:

Star – Russell Westbrook, $8,700: Westbrook for under $9,000 is a fantastic thing to see.  Him resting on back to backs is likely to keep his price suppressed, which will be fantastic for daily fantasy basketball purposes finishing the season.  Westbrook does have a 32-minute limit but even on 32 minutes he is one of the top guards on any given night.

Stud – Deron Williams, $7,200: Old Man Williams has decided to step his game up late in the season and his price has not quite caught his recent production.  He has 40+ fantasy points in four of his last six games and draws one of the best matchups available tonight against the Cavaliers backcourt defense.

Scrub - Shaun Livingston, $4,700:  Talk about consistency.  Livingston has scored 20+ fantasy points four games in a row now and is walking into the exact same fantastic matchup as his backcourt buddy Deron Williams.

Shooting Guard:

Star – Eric Bledsoe, $7,200:  Four 33+ fantasy point performances in a row now and he still sits at only $7,200.  Bledsoe is obviously back in his rhythm and tonight’s matchup is versus a Knicks team that is the second worst team in the NBA this season in terms of defensive efficiency versus opposing shooting guards.

Stud – Dion Waiters, $6,400: As long as Kyrie Irving remains out for the Cavaliers and Waiters remains moderately priced he will continue to be daily fantasy basketball gold.  The matchup is not the greatest on paper but at his usage rate he will still be in for a solid outing.

Scrub - Anthony Morrow, $3,600: Morrow started last game for the Pelicans and scored 27 points in a surprise victory over the Clippers.  The Pelicans backcourt is an injury-riddled mess, which will lead to Morrow seeing some big minutes again tonight.  If he gets the start again I am all over him in most of my lineups, if he does not I will be reserving him for tournament play.

Small Forward:

Star – Kevin Durant, $11,900: The price of $11,900 may look absolutely absurd, but Durant has hit value in four of his last five games at this price using our FanDuel.com formula 4x+7=Value, where “x” is a players salary.

Stud – Kawhi Leonard, $6,600: Small forward gets a bit rough tonight behind Durant and LeBron James leading us to a nice and consistent option in Leonard.  He has only had one big game in recent memory but his consistent performances will provide a solid source of fantasy points for your team with little worry about him totally busting a lineup.

Scrub - Quincy Miller, $3,500: With the Nuggets injury woes Miller has now played 20+ minutes two games in a row.  Wilson Chandler still remains without a definite return date and may be shut down for the remainder of the year which will bode well for Miller to see 20 minutes again tonight.  His price will help fit a player like Durant into your lineup too.

Power Forward:

Star – Anthony Davis, $10,900: Davis has scored 50+ fantasy points in nine of his last ten games and the Jazz will not be slowing him down tonight.  The Jazz rank in the bottom five in the league in defensive efficiency versus opposing frontcourts this season making this matchup a dream come true.

Stud – Kenneth Faried, $7,400: Tonight the Nuggets take on a Spurs team they lost to on Wednesday in a hard fought game, but this game is at home.  Faried has been a much better player at home this season and put up 44.5 fantasy points versus the Spurs during Wednesday night’s game.

Scrub - Jordan Hill, $4,900: This play is not for the faint of heart as one could not hope to truly predict Lakers’ coach Mike D’Antoni’s rotations. Over the last three games Hill has scored 45.6, 14.8 and 48.2 fantasy points while playing 33, 14 and 31 minutes. With Pau Gasol out again tonight let us hope for the 30+ minutes.

Center:

Star – Al Jefferson, $9,400: Just as Jefferson’s price started to drop he decided to heat back up and post a 35 point 15 rebound game versus the Nets.  The Magic is an average team versus opposing centers, which means little for a player of Jefferson’s talent.

Stud – Gorgui Dieng, $5,300: Watch the news closely as Nikola Pekovic’s status for tonight's game is still up in the air and Dieng’s value will take a hit if he plays.  Yet, at this price with his recent production and a matchup versus the dumpster fire Lakers I like him regardless of Pekovic's status.

Scrub - Timofey Mozgov, $4,400: Mozgov has now played 30+ minutes two games in a row and performed fairly well with those minutes.  He put up a double double in his last game versus the Spurs and gets to play them once again tonight. UPDATE: Out will illness. Darrell Arthur and Anthony Randolph should see the biggest bump and are listed as power forwards both below $4,000.

Good luck tonight.  Be sure to follow both @eDraftSports and me @Cui2iousGeoi2ge
