The Oklahoma City Thunder pulled off a pretty sizable deal prior to Thursday's NBA trade deadline, acquiring forward Taj Gibson and guard Doug McDermott from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Cameron Payne and two other lesser players.
The biggest fantasy takeaway here is Gibson's presence on the Thunder.
He will now likely take over for rookie Domantas Sabonis as the Thunder's starting power forward. He's averaging 11.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Expect those numbers to increase a bit with Russell Westbrook handling the rock in Oklahoma City.
