Atlanta Hawks forward Kent Bazemore will miss the next 7-10 days after suffering a bone bruise to his right knee Saturday night against the Portland Trail Blazers.
After signing a huge long-term deal with Atlanta this past summer, Bazemore has failed to take that next step. He's averaging 11.0 points and 3.1 rebounds while shooting at a 41 percent mark from the field, all numbers that took a hit compared to last season.
With Bazemore out, the expectation is that Tim Hardaway Jr. will see substantially more action over the next week-plus. He's posting a career season, averaging 13.9 points while shooting at a 45 percent clip from the field. Look for his minutes to reach the 30-plus plateau on a consistent basis with Bazemore out.
