After an injury-plagued 2014-15 season that saw him miss 55 games, Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant appears to be fully ready to go for the upcoming NBA season.
Coming back from bone graft procedure surgery that forced Durant to sit out while his Thunder missed out on the playoffs, the 2013-14 NBA MVP is telling everyone he's 100 percent:
This should be music to the ears of first-year Thunder head coach Billy Donovan, who is inheriting a team that should contend for a NBA title this upcoming season.
Though, caution reigns surpreme here. Durant needs to take it easy over the remainder of the summer. Pushing it physically is one thing, but he can't afford to re-injure himself leading up to a contract year. One injury won't label someone as a injury-plagued risk, two injuries most definitely will. More than that, the Thunder need Durant 100 percent in order to knock off the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors this season.
From a fantasy perspective, buy and buy now. Prior to last year, Durant had missed a total of 16 games in seven seasons. His ability to light up the scoreboard from all different angles makes him a top-five fantasy player and the second-best fantasy small forward behind LeBron James.
