Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has been ruled out for the team's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. It's not a surprise considering he missed Tuesday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and has not yet been cleared for contact.
Jokic injured his hip against the Phoenix Suns last week and has missed each of the past two games. The second-year big man has been a fantasy coup this season, averaging 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. He's averaging over 25 points in his past 10 outings.
With Jokic out on Tuesday, Wilson Chandler played a larger role, tallying 26 points, nine rebounds and four assists in nearly 36 minutes of action.
Unfortunately, an expected increase in production from Jusuf Nurkic did not come to fruition with Jokic sidelined against the Lakers. He put up just one point on 0-of-7 shooting.
