After missing his team's last game with a hip contusion, New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis was questionable heading into Saturday's outing against the Chicago Bulls.
Playing without a minutes restriction, Davis poured in 36 points on 14-of-23 shooting while adding 14 rebounds and three blocks in the loss to Chicago.
This represents Davis' third consecutive 30-plus point outings. Over the course of his past 10 games, Davis is averaging nearly 28 points and 15.8 rebounds. That's some elite-level fantasy stuff right there.
Unfortunately, the Pelicans simply don't have anyone behind Davis to step up. It's all going to be about him padding his stats for an otherwise irrelevant franchise as the season progresses.
