True to Gregg Popovich form, the San Antonio Spurs aren't worrying too much about catching the Golden State Warriors for the top seed out West.
The head coach has decided to sit the trio of LaMarcus Aldridge, Danny Green and Tim Duncan for Saturday night's game against the Sacramento Kings. This comes on the same day that Manu Ginobili returns from a 12-game absence after suffering a groin injury in January.
With these three out, the expectation here has to be that Boris Diaw, David West and even Boban Marjanovic will play extended minutes. As it relates to Ginobili, we have no idea if he's going to be on a minutes limitation. Of that group, West is the most-likely to put up substantial numbers against a very pedestrian Kings defense.
