Any thought given to the idea that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck would miss the team's game against the New England Patriots next week has to be thrown out the window.
After missing the Colts' past two games with a shoulder injury, Luck practiced in full on Monday — the team's first practice since Thursday's win over the Houston Texans.
While Colts head coach Chuck Pagano had shown optimism that Luck would play each of the past two weeks, Monday's development is much more than simple coach talk. Being a full go in practice six days before Indianapolis takes on New England has to be considered a good sign.
It will be interesting to see if Luck suffers any setbacks during practice this week. If not, he should be on the field for an important conference game against the undefeated Patriots.
Matt Hasselbeck won both games in Luck's stead, pretty much saving the Colts' season in the process. He completed 63 percent of his passes for nearly 500 yards with three touchdowns and zero picks in those two games.
