It was just a couple weeks ago that the Cleveland Browns announced that second-year quarterback Johnny Manziel would be the team's starter for the remainder of the season.
After just one start in that role, Manziel has now been benched in favor of Josh McCown.
This comes on the heels of a video surfacing of Manziel allegedly partying it up with some adult beverages during the team's Week 11 bye.
Remember, Manziel had entered himself into rehab earlier this year, spending well over a month getting his mind straight in the facility.
Always an enigmatic figure since his days at Texas A&M, one has to wonder if this is the final nail in the coffin of Manziel's short-lived career witht he Browns.
Not only was the former Heisman winner benched in favor of McCown, he likely won't even be active Monday against the Baltimore Ravens. In the team's press release on Tuesday, it announced that Austin Davis, not Manziel, will be backing McCown up in that game.
Manziel has been dealing with alleged substance abuse issues since his playing days at College Station. It appears that the video released on Monday might have been the final straw for Cleveland.
It's highly unlikely Manziel will find himself on the field again this year, likely signaling the end of his career with the Browns.
